Digital performance review

The annual performance review will be digitalised by 2025. This means that all steps relating to the yearly performance review between line managers and employees, which were previously conducted on paper, will be digitalised in future. This applies to preparing for the meeting, completing the annual performance review form and the signature process.

In a first step, we are introducing the new digital review at selected locations in Switzerland, Liechtenstein and Germany. The remaining locations will conduct the 2025 performance review on paper as before. You can find out from your manager or local HR whether your review will be conducted digitally or on paper.

On this page you will find all the information on how to log in to the digital platform if your review will be conducted digitally and you do not have a work computer. If you have any questions or problems (e.g. lost access data or forgotten password), please contact your line manager or your local HR.

If your performance review is being conducted on paper, the documents in the 'Preparation' section are the most important for you.

This is how the digital performance review process works

Registration

  • Login via business device (kiosk PC, manager's computer)

    1. Go to the eMAG platform.

    2. Log in with your access data

  • Login via private device (smartphone, tablet, laptop)

    Before you can access the eMAG platform via a private device, you must set up multifactor authentication. This documentation will guide you step by step through the registration process.

    3. Confirm your login with the SMS code/via your Authenticator app.

Preparation

To prepare for the interview, you can assess yourself and your manager. The self-assessment is completely voluntary. The assessment of your manager, on the other hand, is mandatory. However, it is up to you whether you complete the assessment digitally in advance. However, you should give your manager feedback based on the assessment criteria at the performance review meeting at the latest.

Review meeting and signature

If you have never registered on the digital platform before, please bring the sheet with your access data to the performance review meeting with your manager. 

After the interview, you must digitally sign the performance review form:

1. Register on the digital platform.
2. Read through the form.
3. Confirm the form with a click.

Multifactor authentication

In order to log in to the digital platform from a private device (smartphone, tablet or computer), you must set up multi-factor authentication via SMS once. Below you will find step-by-step instructions:

  • Step 1

    Log on to a computer that is in the Bell Food Group network (e.g. kiosk PC or your manager's PC). 

    Open a web browser and go to https://aka.ms/MFASetup.

  • Step 2

    When this login page appears, enter the email address that appears on your access data sheet.

    Click on 'Next' to continue.

  • Step 3

    When this login page appears, enter the password that is on your access data sheet here.

    Click on 'Log in' to continue.

  • Step 4

    A window is opened: 

    'More information required. Your organisation needs more information to keep your account secure'. 

    Check that the account you want to activate for MFA is displayed. To select another account, click on 'Use another account'. A new window will open. Select the correct account or click on 'Use another account' and log in with this account. 

    Click on 'Next' to continue.

  • Step 5

    For MFA with SMS click on 'I want to set up another method'.

  • Step 6

    Select 'Phone' from the drop-down menu. 

    Click on 'Confirm' to continue. 

  • Step 7

    Select the country in which your number is registered. The countries are in English, even if your browser is in German or another language. 

    Enter your mobile phone number without the leading '0'. 

    After you have entered the mobile phone number, please click on 'Next' to receive an SMS with a 6-digit number from Microsoft.

  • Step 8

    Enter the number from the SMS and click on 'Next'.

  • Step 9

    Congratulations, your MFA token is valid and your mobile phone is successfully registered as an MFA token for your identity. 

    Click on 'Next' to continue. 

  • Step 10

    Click on 'Done'.

  • Step 11

    Click on the blue circle in the top right-hand corner.

  • Step 12

    Click on 'Logout'.

  • Step 13

    Select the account you want to deregister and click on it.

  • Step 14

    Now you have to wait a little while until the logout process is complete.

     

  • Step 15

    When you see this page, the cancellation process is complete and you can close the browser window.
